The Evolution of the Concept of Security in Modern State

Abstract
With the emergence of new technologies and dramatic changes in the way of life, some basic concepts in social sciences are also transformed. The concept of security is one of these basic concepts which require redefinition due to transformation in social interactions of human being.
The present article aims to study the factors affecting the concept of security and to review contemporary security discourse. It emphasizes the necessity for restructuring the security and welfare structures of states, and the way security, functions of states as the players of providing security change in different levels.
