Abstract
The present article is aimed at dealing with the question that based on developments in recent years in the Persian Gulf including US strike to Iraq in 2003, US strategies for the Persian Gulf and the whole Middle East like combating terrorism, military presence in the region, combating weapons of mass destruction and transformation in the Middle East, what are the characteristics of regional security system and its implications for I. R. Iran?
