Iraq-US Security Agreement: Analyzing the US Behavior in Iraq

Abstract
After the invasion of Iraq and removal of Saddam’s regime, the management of the situation was the biggest concern for the United States, The United Kingdom and Iraqi officials. The Iraqi issue is still at the center of the US foreign policy and affecting America’s view in the region and all around the world. Developments in Iraq not only influenced the foreign relations and political and security situation of the country, but also has put a great deal of influence on regional countries, international system and reduction of American hegemony. Therefore, the United States is experiencing one of the most difficult challenges in recent decades. The US pattern of behavior in new Iraq is based on intervention, hegemony, unilateralism, combating terrorism and pre-emptive war.
This article will take a look at US behavior in new Iraq and will analyze the aims and dimensions of Iraq-US Security Agreement.
