Economic globalization introduces major opportunities and challenges for States and economic firms. Several countries have benefited from the opportunities provided by globalization, have upgraded their status in global economy and reached to a high level of economic development. The present article aims to make an assessment of the factors which have contributed to emergence of Brazil as a rising economic power, considering export-oriented development in the era of globalization. The author will try to answer the question how Brazil turned into an emerging economic power from an indebted and crisis-torn country? The hypothesis of the article is that with international support, economic planning and adopting an efficient diplomacy, Brazil has become a rising major economy.
