The Arab World Developments: the Pattern of Change in Security ‎System of the Middle East

Document Type : Research Paper

Abstract
The Middle East has kept its status as the strategic center of gravity for international politics. In the last couple of years, we witnessed developments in this region which were a big surprise for all. These developments turned the region into the global focus. Egypt, as the most populated Arab Country and with strategic and geopolitical position in the Middle East, was mostly under spot light. Any political change in Egypt would have implications for regional countries, including Iran, as well as for the great powers and their allies. The present article, providing a general view of the recent developments in the Middle East, will concentrate on Egypt as the case study. The Author argues that the triangle of Iran, Turkey and Egypt could establish a new security pattern and political atmosphere in the region.
