IRAN is situated in a very critical region. Iran's strategic environment includes regions and countries which are in the crisis situation, and over the past few decades, Iran's diplomatic apparatus has had valuable practical experiences in these countries and regions. This article attempts to compile some of these experiences in one of these extremely critical regions, Afghanistan. here I try to record this valuable experience to help compile and conceptualize diplomacy in crisis regions. Afghanistan, as one of the most challenging geopolitical regions, has always been a focus for interaction, conflict, and change in the foreign policy of the countries in the region. The recording and conceptualization of these experiences in this article has been done in a way that it can be used in the future performance of the diplomatic apparatus in crisis regions. To this end, in addition to the theoretical study of the issue of diplomacy in crisis, some dimensions of diplomacy in crisis regions have been identified and examined based on several years of experience. These experiences, which occurred during the extremely critical period of the withdrawal of American occupying forces, the collapse of the republican system, and the rule of the Taliban, have been categorized in this article. It should be noted that the severe crisis of regime changes in Afghanistan occurred during the difficult period of the coronavirus, which created additional restrictions and was considered a special crisis in itself. Finally, this article summarizes the aforementioned topics and presents a plan for future research.
