Imam Khomeini was the reviver of the Islamic magnificent heritage and civilization in today world. Making an evolution in the dominant discourse, he introduced a new political paradigm whose most important characteristics are faithfulness and Islamic orientation. In fact, he replaced the negative and reactive approach towards the religion with a holistic, adaptationist, pro-active and operational approach. The guidelines of Imam Khomeini for this approach were a modulation of geo-strategy and geo-ideology. This approach is the expression of a philosophical theory of "unity in diversity" in international structure in which all political, economic, social, cultural and consensual methods shall be adapted in conformity with the value system of Islam.
Due to these deliberations, the present article aims to explain the potentials opportunities, provided by Imam Khomeini’s approach to the international system, to enable the Islamic societies/countries to play a pro-active and effective role in the world affairs.
