The Economic and Political Prospect of BRICS ‎

Abstract
In the current world, states and rising powers aim to enhance their position through establishing political and economic unions and alliances at both regional and global levels. The group of BRICS is an emerging actor which is now mostly oriented on economic issues. This group includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The five members of BRICS hold 30 percent of the earth, more than 43 percent of the world population and 25 percent of the world GDP. The currency reserves of these five countries amounts to 4/4 trillion US dollars.
